Ulla Johnson's runway show at NYFW Just Teased Her New Fragrances

The show notes were a fragrant affair, with a box of three Robertet lab samples, each named after a captivating scent: 'Baroque Garden', 'Drift Rose', and 'Adriatic Gold'. These samples hinted at the upcoming launch of Eau de Parfum, candles, and incense, set to arrive this Spring.
Johnson's passion for unique and organic shapes is evident in the fragrance and candle collection. She collaborated with ceramicists to create hand-built objects, infusing each piece with a distinct hand-crafted touch. This approach is a bold statement in a crowded market, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and individuality.

However, Johnson's brand is not the only one exploring this territory. The U.S. market has seen a surge in designer fragrances, with Khaite, Willy Chavarria, Area, and Christopher John Rogers being floated as potential entrants. The category's sales are dominated by designer fragrances, accounting for approximately 70 percent of overall sales. The only U.S.-based exception is LoveShackFancy, which launched a trio of fragrances at Sephora in 2023 and has since expanded its product range.
As Johnson's brand continues to focus on international expansion in 2026, her fragrance launch is a strategic move that could further solidify her brand's presence in the beauty industry.
