Between 2019 and 2023, they invested over US$110 billion, with a large portion dedicated to renewable energy and green infrastructure. This shows a long-term commitment to Africa's sustainable development. The UAE has also launched initiatives like 'AI for Development', a US$1 billion project to enhance education, agriculture, and infrastructure through artificial intelligence.
The African delegation's visit is a step towards further collaboration. They will meet with UAE officials, investment institutions, and philanthropic organizations to explore co-investment opportunities and public-private-philanthropic partnerships.
